Overview and Key Features

The Nintendo Switch 2 is the latest iteration of Nintendo's beloved hybrid console. It boasts impressive specs, including a more powerful processor, improved graphics capabilities, and a larger and more vibrant screen. The Switch 2 also features enhanced battery life, allowing gamers to enjoy their favorite titles on the go for longer periods. Additionally, the console's portability and versatility make it an attractive option for those who value flexibility in their gaming experience.

Real-World Performance

In our hands-on experience with the Switch 2, we were impressed by its ability to handle demanding games with ease. The console's processor and graphics capabilities make it well-suited for titles like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which are visually stunning and require significant computational resources. However, we did encounter some minor issues with performance in certain games, particularly those with complex graphics or high frame rates.

Strengths and Weaknesses

One of the Switch 2's greatest strengths is its extensive library of games, which includes a wide range of titles suitable for all ages and skill levels. The console's portability and versatility are also significant advantages, allowing gamers to play their favorite games on the go or in the comfort of their own homes. However, the Switch 2's price point is a major drawback, particularly when compared to other consoles on the market. Additionally, the console's lack of backward compatibility with older games may be a concern for some gamers.

I agree it's all about the games. I am a big fan of Apex Legends and you can play it on Switch 1 but it's way low-res. So part of the reason I wanted the Switch 2 was to play that game's big console version portably and it's amazing!

Can you play switch 1 games on the switch 2? Back compatible ?

Needs more games & better one's. Get to work Nintendo!!!

Second generation was technically the oled, barely mentioned in this review? this is a downgrade screen wise third generation, all comparisons are with the first model switch for some reason, maybe the oled makes it look less desirable to viewers

Bro the standby time on switch 2 is atrocious. I have a 5 year old switch 1 with better battery and standby time. Talking about better frame rates drain more battery. Mah dude, most games you showed were either switch 1 or switch 2 at 60hz. No reason for it to drain the battery so bad. It icks me when casual gamers review a hardware and they say that the specs don’t matter. They do buddy, they do.

As someone who owns both a Playstation and a Switch; I mostly use my Switch in handheld when I'm on vacation or at a friend's house. Only once in a blue moon do I use it docked. That being said; it's always a pleasent experience.

Battery life has improved on phones with bigger screens and higher resolution and frame rates. The problem is the size of the battery and slow charging

Now look, I’m gonna buy one here soon, but this pissed me off, the “iNfLaTiOn” comment and the “fOuR yEaRs” comment, do not try to make it sound like that 0 pricie increase is only going to have a four year lifespan.

Funny how even the Nintendo Switch 2 has all the physical ports that Iphones used to have back then.

I think the main problem with the current Switch 2 is the display… I know it’s now brilliant and you can’t really compare it to original 2017 Switch, but let’s remember that Nintendo released the OLED screen (and this new one here is great, yes, but it’s still just an LCD, so blacks aren’t really THAT black, etc.) update a few years later, which makes it hard to deny that there is going to be an OLED version of Switch 2 in 2 or 3 years from now and THAT will be a masterpiece in the handheld consoles market.

A Gaming PC + a Switch is the absolute way to go in my opinion!

So the game cartgride is just a key to download the digital game esentially, meaning you dont truely own it. Well, if buying isnt owning than piracy is not stealing.
