There was no hesitation in that purchase, I'm still running a 1080p monitor so that means I can crank the settings up without sacrificing fps. I also just purchased a Gigabyte Z370 HD3P + Intel 8700K combo with a 120mm aio for 9. If you check frequently you'll definitely be able to find some great deals.

Neutrali feel you were a bit wrong saying AMD no upgrade path, plenty options to upgrade my r7 1800x to a more modern option with a bios update. even this year 2025 2 years later AMD continues to support the AM4 socket, with some new processor SKUs being released, like the Ryzen 5005G series and the Ryzen 5 7400F. my system could get 5800X Processor (8 Cores/16 threads) but more modern and boost to 4.7ghz, so it is sure an upgrade what could work for many years. only enabling amd version xmp the ram runs at 3200mhz as advertised and 1800x that boosts to 4.1ghz it really is not that bad at all. even more of an upgrade path for am4 in my new itx build as using the r5 4500, its only a tv computer and only requirements is play 4k but many options if i wanted to upgrade that cpu to a faster one and crazy thing that 4500 i think it boosts to 3.9ghz 6 core 12 threads but crazy thing it was only £60 and it inc a cooler, money to performance this really is not bad, 4500 paired with corsair 16gb 3000mhz , rx 580 8gb and corsair 500gb m.2 as boot drive, it dose very well and benchmarks say it above average for the build and one benchmarks to systems a like it came out top, it was never built for gaming but im very sure it easy play all the games i have in high detail and that itx build was £550 and that inc upgrading old rig to 32gb 3200mhz ram and the new system had the old ram and the aio i got for itx build it fit but with the argb i could not be bothered crazy amount extra cables so my old system also got a new 240 aio what it needed as one it has is from some point mid to end 2017 so it due a new one and the itx build all air cooling and with two added fans it runs just as cool as my main rig with an aio even at full load, plans adding few more fans then that build ready for hours tv watching online why my old system can rest till i need to do editing or gaming as new itx build it uses about half the power and that a good thing the price of electric. i feel if you on first gen am4 chips even 2nd gen you still have upgrade options
