One note on the Puget Bench numbers. For Premier memory does have an impact on the performance and for this laptop given it has 64GB versus the 32GB on our test rigs for desktops it is why it is a higher number. We still wanted to show comparisons against it given the performance but wanted to note why there was such a larger difference there.
NeutralPowerful laptop, however, ‘Life of Battery Life is Short…’
Negativei would like to have a 1600 or 1800p display with atleast 240hz minimum for gaming with a laptop like this
PositiveIs excaliberpc good website to order laptop ?
PositiveI learned that this AMD CPU is better for lower resolutions but for qhd and uhd and uhd+ the one with Intel 285HX is better.
PositiveI bought one , it's a beast ! It can handle anything you throw at it . Surprisingly quite too . There's always pros & cons but overall I'm quite impressed 👌
Positivei have a Vector A18 HX A9W with a 5080 and Ryzen 9 9955hx its great and powerful but its got graphical bugs that i haven't found a fix for yet
NegativeThis is an underrated channel
PositiveAnyone ever tried playing Escape From Tarkov on this set up? Curious what kind of frames it’s getting.
Positiveexpensive laptop too much expensive
NegativeI like it. Seems ideal for not only music production, but also resolve & some reasonable blender/unreal engine work. More importantly, it & the zephyrus duo 16 are easier to travel with than my water cooled desktops. Might even have room for a 10 inch tablet.
PositiveThe battery doesn't last very long because past few years all laptops must have a battery inside the enclosure and not an external battery anymore. I don't know who decided that but it is a stupid idea. My old HP takes 2 external batteries, a small one and a large one that makes it last much longer.
NegativeI figured the specs were solid enough to handle any game I throw at it — definitely the kind of overkill that’ll keep things running smoothly for the next five years or more.
PositiveThis 4K 120Hz mini-LED screen is incredibly bright, and the picture quality is totally OLED-level!
PositiveWhy don't laptop manufacturers doesn't know that 4k display in a laptop is overkill, even rtx 5090 would struggle to give a good fps performance on naxed out settings. I think 2.5k display will be a sweet spot for both picture quality and performance
NegativeI think this beast will easily destroy the Legion 9i with Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 275HX + RTX™ 5090 GPU, but the ROG Strix SCAR 18 (2025) G835 with Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 Processor 275HX 2.7 GHz + RTX 5090 would be an EPIC battle! Battle of the titans right there! Yo author, you NEED to make this comparison happen - I'm sure people would go crazy for it! 🔥💪
Positivemonitor is 120hz, what matters if fps go over that?
NeutralWhy was my respectful comment deleted, where I simply pointed out that the laptop is also available in other screen resolutions besides the reviewed UHD+ version?
NegativeWho cares when it doesn't have G-Sync, MSI continuing this insistent ridiculous omission on an 11 thousand dollar (AUD) laptops? Note, they are still the only major gaming laptop manufacturer to not offer G-Sync on ANY laptop in their range. 100% deal breaker, and I have the experience to comment on this, as I still have my GT77 with 4090m and 13980hx, and lack of G-Sync vs all my previous laptops which had it, feels SO wrong and is SUCH a loss that I will never, *ever* buy a laptop without it again. Ever. Trust me, it's a massive omission and pathetic of MSI due to the license fee they want to avoid, since the screens have VRR in Optimus mode (it's terrible for latency and just not the same thing as G-sync in dGPU ultra low latency mode) which means they would support laptop g-sync with a simple bios/g-sync software license unlock. So it's all about MONEY. I will never forget my laptop being 9500K AUD rrp at the time with a 720p face cam LOL. Just another example. No MSI this year, I advise anyone else serious about AA gaming on a 4K panel to never ever buy a laptop without G-Sync, since your FPS will be all over the place.
NegativeWell, if I wanted to be rocked to sleep by marketing nonsense, I’d just listen to my neighbor's lawnmower. This "most powerful gaming laptop" is so heavy it should come with a gym membership. 💪😒 If you want a workout while gaming, just lift a few boulders instead—it's cheaper and more effective. And let's not forget that delightful price tag that screams, “I’m an investment decision you’ll regret!” So go on, keep chasing those tech dreams, but remember: sometimes the best place for such a “magnificent” device is at the bottom of a bog. 💩 To each their overpriced gadget, I suppose.
