How do the Thinkpad X9 and Z13 (all-aluminum model) compare in terms of premium feel and build quality? Thank you for the fantastic review.

Unlike most people commenting here I bought one of these. It’s a fantastic laptop in 15inch. Cannot fault it. I do reach for the nib occasionally as I still have my old x1 carbon. Happy to move on this as a genuine upgrade.

Nice ultrabook, and at £1,900 for 32gb/1TB, reasonably priced in the premium sector. I would still choose the MB Pro M4 Pro for £1670 with 24GB/512GB, but as far as Intel premium ultrabooks are concerned, I would opt for the X9 over the Galaxy Book5 Pro and Surface Laptop 7 (business). Perhaps I would wait for the obligatory sales with £200-300 off in a few months, which would match the MB Pro price, currently on sale at Amazon. N.B. The cheapest Ultra 7 is £ 1,500, featuring a lower-resolution display and a less powerful CPU/GPU.
